Essential info and great places to visit during your stay at Matilda’s Field
Matilda’s Field is remote. Wonderfully, peacefully remote. There are no shops or cafés within walking distance. You’ll need a car, and we strongly recommend stocking up on supplies before you arrive at the forest.
The nearest village shop is 5 miles away, Lake Vyrnwy is 5.5 miles, and Snowdonia National Park is around 45 minutes’ drive. This remoteness is exactly what makes staying here so special. It is a true escape from everyday life. And when you’re ready to explore, here are some great places nearby.
