At Matilda’s Field we offer you peaceful, private safari tents with luxury facilities in the heart of the Dyfnant Forest. Come rest a while and get away from it all.

Disconnect to reconnect

Quality time with family and friends, or just time for you. Pure relaxation and immersion in nature.

At Matilda’s Field, you’re surrounded by ancient forest in one of the most remote and beautiful parts of Wales. The Dyfnant Forest is a 6,000-acre woodland at the periphery of the Cambrian Mountains, where forestry tracks wind through spectacular scenery.

Here there are no traffic lights and no light pollution. Just forest, wildlife, and the opportunity to truly rest and recharge. Whether you want to explore the Rainbow Trails on foot, bike, or with your horse, or simply sit by our pond watching the wildlife, this is your chance to experience the benefits of ‘forest bathing’, the practice the Japanese call Shinrin-Yoku.
